The Great Himalayan Trail (GHT) is a 1700-kilometer trekking trail through the Himalayas, offering stunning views of mountains, landscapes, flora, fauna, and culture. It takes 90 to 150 days to complete and passes through national parks like Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Sagarmatha, Gaurishankar, Langtang, Manaslu, and Annapurna. The trail is divided into nine sections, with the eastern section offering views of the highest mountains and the western section offering timeless landscapes and less populated villages. Trekkers can observe rare animals like the Red Panda and Snow Leopard, as well as diverse forests and medicinal plants. The GHT also provides a cultural experience, allowing hikers to interact with local communities and learn about their traditions and ways of life.
