The Annapurna massif consists of two faces: the famous West South Face and the less popular Annapurna Sanctuary. The massif is protected in the Annapurna Conservation Area, which covers 7629 sq km over the Manang, Mustang, Kaski, Myagdi, and Lamjung districts.
